The Accidental Farmer

It all began by watching food documentaries.

They made me change the way I shopped.

Then I learned of the lies on labels. UGH!!

You know the old saying; If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself…. so that’s what I did.

Not everyone can do that, so now I raise enough for your family too!

All of our pigs get the 3 R’s~ to run, roam and root throughout the woods as pigs should. They get lots of love, everyone gets a name, belly rubs, back scratches and more. Our pigs are antibiotic free and no additional hormones are given. They are fed conventional pig feed, local hay and whatever fresh fruts and veggies I glean from my farm (or friends - Thank you Tiny Roots!)

When I say WE or US, mostly I mean ME. This is a woman owned and operated farm. My two young adult kids pitch in when needed thankfully, and I do hope they realize their impact and my gratitude.

We have all the usual retail pork cuts and some not so usual ones too.

We can be found at various farmers markets in Maine, spring - fall and you can always make an appointment to pick up at the farm.
