Chef Rob Martin from 1652 in York, Maine


Robert has been in the hospitality business for 25+ years, and has been fortunate in working with/for some great people and in some pretty cool locations. He arrived in the seacoast in 2006, previously always being part of the community, especially in the food part of the community.

Arriving in the area taught him even more about community, people, food and relationships. Robert has planted roots and is highly interested in the community structure and how to give back to the seacoast that has given him so much.

His wife, Mollie, has always pushed and inspired him, as a result, his new endeavor, 1652, at York beach is a culmination of years of learning, community ethics, local sourcing and fresh seasonal food while pushing to constantly learn and improve.
